What to Expect After the Treatment
The areas we will treat may be wet for up to an hour. We find if the house is open and a breeze is flowing this time can reduce to roughly as long as it takes when you mop the house. We recommend that you do not enter until the areas sprayed are dry and well ventilated.
We ask that if you have an ant/cockroach problem that you do not mop for up to 7 days. This way, the treatment has the best chance to work before mopping starts to dilute the treatment. If your home does not have a significant issue, we ask that you do not mop for at least 3 days. It can take up to 28 days for the pest treatment to come into full effect.
You will likely see dead pests (particularly cockroaches) around the house for the next few months. If you see these, please clean them up as they will attract further pests as they are a food source.
Given Mackay’s climate, every now and then, you will see ants, cockroaches, and/or spiders inside the house. They can come in from under the ground coverings (grass/pavers, etc), gardens, and/or fly in on the breeze, and unfortunately, we cannot stop them from breeding in these areas outside.
Please be assured that the treatment inside the house will continue to deal with these. If, however, you are seeing more than you are comfortable with, please contact us, and we can do a “top-up” treatment. Call to book now!

How long should I stay out of the house after treatment?
We recommend staying out of treated areas for at least one hour, or until all surfaces are dry and well ventilated. If your home is open and there’s good airflow, drying time may be similar to how long it takes after mopping. This precaution ensures the treatment works effectively and avoids accidental contact with wet surfaces.
When can I mop my floors after pest treatment?
If your home has a noticeable ant or cockroach issue, avoid mopping treated areas for 7 days to allow the product to work fully. If there’s no significant pest problem, we recommend waiting at least 3 days. Mopping too early may dilute the treatment and reduce its effectiveness.
What should I do with food, utensils and pet items before treatment?
Please seal or store all open food, food containers, and utensils inside cupboards or the fridge. Personal items like toothbrushes and glasses should also be stored away. Pet bowls and toys should be removed from treated areas, and bird cages, reptile enclosures, and fish tanks should be covered. These steps help keep your home safe during and after treatment.
